Feeding, Swallowing, & Oromyofunctional
Therapy

Eating is meant to be an enjoyable experience. The look, smells, and taste of foods enhance our daily lives.

However, disorders can negatively impact our ability to enjoy food. These may be:

Picky Eating

Food Refusal

Sensory Integration Difficulties

Dysphagia

Oromyofunctional disorders includes dysfunction of the lips, jaw, tongue, and/or oropharynx that interferes with normal growth, function, or development of other structures. (Linda D'Onofrio.)

If the soft tissue structures of the face and neck are not working correctly, these can lead to impairments that impact every facet of life.

We can work on a variety of issues, including breathing, oral rest posture, nail biting/digit sucking, and others.
